Leather

Donald Livingston

Donald started as a camp owner in Cameron County and several years ago decided to make the rural county his home and turned the seasonal residence into full time.  He is retired but that does not mean he is not busy.

He spends his time hand cutting fringe, hand sewing leather pouches and painstakingly researching and making Indian jewelry including chokers and warrior chestplates.

You won’t find plastic beads on his work, only bone, metal or wood.  His leather comes only from deer or cow and the stitches are sewn by hand with love.

The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center feels privilidged that this is the first selling venture for the self taught artist.  Look for Donald to begin selling at shows and of course at pow-wow events.
