Lynda Pontzer

Lynda has painted oil and pastel portraits since she was a teenager.  Her lifelong passion led her to the Cleveland Institute of Art and the University of Arizona.  During  Weekend in the Wilds Lynda spent the day capturing the smiles of youngsters from throughout the PA Wilds. 

She enjoys painting on location and many of her paintings reflect that style of a limited amount of time to capture the scene before the sun moves, or a cloud casts a shadow.  Lynda has traveled the world to paint including teaching in Denmark for one year.

Lynda now lives in the PA Wilds surrounded by the lush game lands of the Allegheny National Forest.  She has been recognized as a PA Wilds Juried Artist and sells her paintings and prints at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center.

Her studio in St. Mary's serves as a workshop for classes. Lynda insists on small class sizes so the students receive hands on instruction.
