Basket Weaving

Patty Dillman

Patty Dillman is a self sustaining artist.  From her home in Sabinsville Patty plants and nurtures the willow found in her baskets.  The willow is boiled, stripped and eventually used in weaving.

The baskets are created using history books!  All of the baskets are weaved using patterns developed over the years by indians, farmers and others.  The gathering basket has a removable bottom, because over the years the bottoms would rot because they sat on the soil.

Experience yesterday through one of Patty's baskets!
