Ralph Harrison

     Ralph Harrison is a retired state forester and finds himself more busy now since he has retired.  Harrison was raised in Dents Run and except for time spent in the military, Harrison has lived his entire life in Elk County.  Starting as a fire tower man Harrison worked his entire adult life for now DCNR and his love for the outdoors has been passed onto his son who currently works as a state park manager!

     One day Harrison remarked to a friend that elk was being reintroduced to Pennsylvania and Harrison thought the event should be documented and followed with pictures...that was how this book was born.  This is the first book written by Harrison.  The book is in its third reprinting.
