Clay Artist

     Roly Boni

Roly Boni is a professional painter working by day with contractors, but his first love is working with clay and watching and his creations emerge from the earth.  Both Roly and his son Geno, have items for sale at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center.

Roly has been throwing pots and experimenting with glazes on and off for 30 years.  He has passed his love of the art onto his teenage son, Geno who is studying Fine Arts with a concentration in Ceramics at Edinboro University.

The pair create pottery at the Appalachian Art Studio in Ridgway.  The pieces are fired at Cone 10 and in a reduction atmosphere which insures durability.  Many of the items are microwave, dishwasher and food safe.

Both Roly and his son love to share their love for clay and offer studio time for novice to accomplished artists!  They can be reached at 814-772-0400.
