Metal Work

Richard Wilson

Richard Wilson grew up in a family filled with welders.  His great-grandfather was a welder for the Union Army in Gettysburg, his father worked as a welding engineer and even his mom became a welder during World War II when women were called to the factories while the men were fighting in the War.

But Richard saw metal in a different light.  When he needed a gift for his sister, the 8 year old took a metal rod and welded it into the shape of a cat.  There has been no looking back.  Richard's imagination turns nuts, ball bearings, screws and bolts into rock climbers, fishermen, golfers, and doctors.  No profession is off limits!

Richard is a sought after sculpture, designing religious work and items to grace gardens at hospitals.  The PA Wilds has named Richard a Juried Artist.

The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center has a few of his creations.  If you have a profession or hobby you would like created, let us know.  Richard will be glad to design a one of a kind piece of artwork for you!
