Phil Burkhouse

     Phil Burkhouse calls himself an “elkaholic”.  He has no favorite subject for photographs, but his pictures of elk have made him famous.  Burkhouse retired from Ridgway School District where he taught math, and now enjoys spending time outdoors. 

        His elk and turkey photographs have been published in outdoor magazines with a national circulation.  Burkhouse enjoys sharing his love for the region with others and operates an outdoor orientated guide service for hunters, photographers and those that just want to view the animals in their native habitat. 

         The eye for photography has attracted the eye of the PA Wilds Juried Panels.  Burkhouse is a PA Wilds Juried Artist.
