Rocky Holland

Rocky Holland says he fell in love with nature in the state of Alaska and did not believe he could find the scenery or animals in his home area of Kane as in Alaska.  Boy was he wrong!  Holland has spent thirty years hiking the trails and mountains that make up the Allegheny National Forest.  He captures the animals in their native environment.

You will not find any computer enhancements in Rocky’s work.  What you see in the picture is what he saw through the camera lens.  Rocky’s greatest photography adventure occurred in 1999 when he took a trip to Hudson Bay in Manitoba Canada to photograph polar bears.

Rocky has won various awards for his work and has worked with DCNR in the Pennsylvania Wilds project.  His photos are on exhibit in many locations throughout McKean County.  The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center is the first location outside of his home county where his artwork can be purchased.
